Artists-Together is run by myself, (Allen) and my wonderful partner Sonia.
The idea behind Artists-Together was born after I was diagnosed with cancer of the neck.
I guess it is those life changing moments that give us the greatest perspective on life. It certainly gave me pause for thought as I looked at my life so far and my current situation.
I was working in an uninspiring job, and was not even that well paid for suffering it!
With little more than a handful of years before retirement (if I even made it that far), I realised that the cliche of ‘life’s too short’ really was far more accurate than folk give it credit for.
Maybe it’s because it’s over-used, but we tend to casually throw the term around without thinking too much about the actual words.
But here I was, pondering the big questions. And I realised that life should be for living, not being stuck in a meaningless role for 9 hours a day just to pay some bills.
Life should be inspirational.
Life should have fun and laughter in it.
Life should be uplifting.
Life should have peace and joy.
